SETTING THE MELODY OF THE LEAD GUITAR AND ADDING TO VOCALS,
Ryan Barquilla
Ryan Barquilla started playing the guitar at the age of 12. He was inspired by his Uncle Rodell, who had a knack for listening to songs and learning how to play them by the time the song was finished! A skill that Ryan has since developed and finds extremely useful as a gigging musician.
Ryan started his guitar journey as a rocker and he then developed his taste for other styles of music and to this day values the importance of appreciating the different styles. Ryan grew up playing lots of rock and pop music as well as gospel and RnB, reggae, country, blues, jazz and even heavy metal.
Ryan has played and recorded with other artists beside Candy Apple Blue such as Gabrielle, Donaeo, Javine and Little Mix. You may also have seen him on TV without knowing it!
Outside of music, Ryan trains in Brazilian jiu jitsu and currently holds a blue belt.
